Large Limbert replica 80" settle with low profile. One of Limbert's more successful settle designs. It has the architectural appeal of an even-arm or box settle with the comfort of a drop-arm. An excellent form for the center of a room where the low profile does not obstruct the view of the room or to place under a low window. The shaped arms, the arched horizontal support and corbel beneath the arms make this a pleasure to the eye. It's extra depth and canted ( angled ) back make it as comfortable as it is beautiful. Available in the smaller 60" version and custom sizes. While many of our reproductions are very accurate replicas of originals we have owned, we chose to add slightly to the depth of this settle and to make the back at an angle rather than straight as it is on the original. We otherwise closely followed the design of the original we recently sold, including pinned through-tenon construction and spring seat cushion.
