Rare Dirk Van Erp framed tile featuring a hand painted country home. Signed with the studio's "open box" impressed mark displaying a windmill above a three sided rectangle with the words: "Dirk Van Erp" below "San Francisco". There is a firing flaw glaze pop on the roof to the right of the chimney on the right. There is a noticeable horizontal crack that travels edge to edge in the middle of the tile. There is scattered discoloration to the original patina on the edge of the copper frame, the copper hanging mounts on the back appear to be the original work of the studio. Frame Measures: 8 1/8" square x 1/2" thick.
