Vintage L.& J.G. Stickley Antique 48 inch dining table with 4 original leaves in their original leaf rack, signed.

Vintage L.& J.G. Stickley signed antique 48 inch dining table with 4 original leaves in their original leaf rack. Each leaf measures 12" wide, the table opens to 8 feet long with all four leaves installed. Beautiful solid quarter sawed white oak grain in the table top, leaves and base. The table is signed with the firms branded signature: "The Work of L. & J.G. Stickley", used from 1912 to 1918. The table is very tight and stable. We re-doweled the leaves to fit very level and tight when installed. Features one of the better pedestal designs both visually and functionally. The feet are actually only two boards, each running horizontally from one foot to the other and joined in the center with a bridle joint, known for it's stability. The long graceful corbels that attach to the top of the legs and all the way to the top of the pedestal are as functional as they are complementary to the design. Most pedestal tables have four separate legs which are joined to the vertical center of the pedestal. Also features thick maple dovetail table glides used by Gustav Stickley as well. Just another of the many quality elements of the ORIGINAL period Stickley furniture. This table also features splined joinery in the table top and base. The original bevel to the bottom of the feet is still crisp and the typical large metal casters used by the original L. & J.G. Stickley company remain. The table measures approximately 48" diameter by 30" high. Feel free to contact us with any questions or further images.
