Rare early Limbert tabourette taboret drink stand model no. 235 DISCONTINUED
Rare Charles Limbert tabourette / taboret drink stand. Early form which is shown in the reprint of the companies period 1905 catalogue as "DISCONTINUED". Missing it's paper label from the early period, though the stamped catalogue "# 235" still remains on the underside of the support under the top. Typical design and structure as with several other Limbert designs including the supports under the top which extend beyond the sides and are shaped like small corbels and the spline miter joint of the sides. The stand was stripped before we purchased it, some paint in the grain shows upon close inspection, there is a dime sized burn near the center of the top. There is a wedge shaped "Dutch" old wood repair to a sliver on the edge of the cut-out near the bottom of the stand and shown in the image, not noticeable if not pointed out. The stand is in otherwise excellent condition. Measures 20" high, top is 15" x 15".
