Stickley Brothers Morris Chair

Original Stickley Brothers oak Morris chair, old refinish, leather replaced. Featuring corbels under the front seat stretcher, through-tenons at the front and back of the arms and five adjustable positions. Original turned adjusting pegs and axles. This Morris chair retains the original model number on the front of the rear seat stretcher. The glue block under the seat has the nail head with a trace of the early paper label. The earlier Stickley Brothers pieces were signed with a small oval paper label, attached with one or two nails. The labels often became brittle over the years and it is common to find only the nail heads with a trace of paper fibers. PLEASE CLICK ANY IMAGE TO VIEW A FULL SIZE IMAGE.
