Original finish with no significant apologies. We took the pictures before waxing the piece, the stand will look even better after it is wiped down and waxed. This interesting Arts and Crafts form with the detailed sides and cut-out design on the sides is also very practical for storage yet takes very little floor space. Probably made in Grand Rapids, Michigan in the early 1900's.
