Original Gustav Stickley 5 Leg Dining Table with 4 Leaves Vintage Gustav Stickley 54" model #633 5-leg dining table with 4 leaves. One of Gustav Stickley's best selling dining table forms, featuring substantial dimensions including the 1 1/8" thick top. While a strong form, it is not without grace, considering the balance of form for which Gustav Stickley is known and the subtle design elements such as the slight taper to the legs. As functional as it is visually appealing, the middle leg remains in the center whether closed or open with leaves, keeping the table very stable when open. This table was in need of refinishing when we purchased it. We refinished the table and made minor repairs to wear on the legs. It came with only two leaves, we made two additional leaves, the two leaves with the quarter-sawn oak grain that matches the table are the two leaves we made. Even Gustav Stickley sometimes used less appealing grain in the leaves than in the table top, during the period, tables were often covered when open. We hand select wood with fine figure and tight growth rings to better match the vintage wood. Each leaf fits tight and level with the table top.
