Original L. & J. G. Stickley Rocker circa 1906 to 1912

Original, L.& J. G. Stickley oak rocking chair with it's original leather seat. Original finish, minor wear to original leather and finish wear to the tops of the arms, otherwise in excellent condition. Seating pieces with their original leather in good condition are very uncommon. Good quarter sawn oak grain in the top of the arms as shown. Rockers are tight and not worn flat. Signed on the back stretcher with the firms red decal used from 1906 to 1912, in the form of a wooden woodworking clamp..."L.& J.G. Stickley, Handcraft". The rocker is also signed under the seat with the very rare Handcraft period paper label with the model and cover number handwritten in graphite, as shown.

Product ID: #6001
