Vintage L. & J. G. Stickley 5-leg Square Dining Table. Vintage L. & J. G. Stickley rare 5-leg 48" square dining table with four original leaves. Finish restored, signed "L.& J.G. Stickley, Handcraft", the signature they used from 1906 to 1912. In almost 20 years specializing in American and English Arts and Crafts furniture, we have never previously owned, or seen on the market, this rare form. The quarter-sawn oak grain in the table top is striking in appearance as shown in the close-up. The leaves are straight-sawn white oak as was not uncommon, partially due to cost effectiveness and consideration of the custom of covering tables when extended. The table measures a full 8 feet in length with leaves and easily seats 10 people. The "floating" center leg keeps the table very stable when extended.
