Original Limbert Daybed with Heart Cut-out Design
Uncommon Limbert daybed with stylized heart or spade shaped cut-out design with it's original leather spring cushions. Minor restoration including a chip on one leg near the floor which was replaced using old wood, old restoration to finish, body re-glued. Excellent color and very sound. While the leather is worn and torn, as shown, it is quite uncommon for vintage Arts and Crafts furniture to retain the original leather covering. The Charles Limbert Co. of Grand Rapids and Holland Michigan used a double layer of springs in their seat and back cushions following their early period. This piece is signed with the Limbert's brand and stenciled model # 651. .
